Come anticipato nel post sul vino sfuso, abbiamo ora la possibilita’ di commentare le esportazioni di vino in modo cumulato, per quanto continuero’ a commentare di tanto in tanto separatamente gli spumanti che cosi’ tanto sembrano interessare.
Dunque, il mese di gennaio e’ stato particolarmente positivo per le esportazioni italiane di vino, con una crescita del 30% dei volumi e del 25% a valore. Se prendiamo i 12 mesi parliamo di 18.6m/hl e EUR3.2 miliardi.
As anticipated in the post on unbottled wine, we can now comment exports in cumulated way (ie including sparlking wines), although I will continue to show detailed separate figures for this special category.
January 2007 was particularly positive for Italian exports with a 30% growth in volumes and +25% in value. If we take figures over the 12 months, we get to18.6m/hl and EUR3.2bn of exports.

Talvolta, non tutti i mali vengono per nuocere. L’interruzione della serie ISTAT sui vini VQPRD e di qualita’ mi ha spinto a rifare tutto il database inserendo, in un solo file 3 tipi di dati: il vino in contenitori da meno di 2 litri (che chiamerei imbottigliato di qui in avanti), il vino in contenitori da piu’ di 2 litri (che chiamerei sfuso) e i vini speciali (che poi sono assimilati agli spumanti).
Abbiamo quindi una nuova chiave di lettura delle esportazioni (che forse era meglio non avere, a dir la verità).
Sometimes bad things are the way to get to better ones. The stop of Istat data on wines (ex sparkling ones) led me to rebuild all the database with new series which split the wine exports in 3 categories: (1) wine in packaging of less than 2 liters (which I will from now on call bottled), (2) wine packaged in more than 2 liters (from now on unbottled) and (3) special wines (which are basically sparkling wines).
We have therefore a new way to analyse exports, which actually I would have liked not to see…

Dunque, prima conclusione (tutti i dati sui 12 mesi a gennaio 2007). il vino italiano esce sfuso per il 8.5% del valore e il 35% del volume. 6.6m/hl e circa EUR274m. Secondo me e’ tanto! First comment: Italian wine is unbottled for 8.5% of the value of exports and 35% of volumes. We talk about 6.6m/hl or some EUR274m. In my view this is a lot!.
