Il lavoro che posto oggi e’ frutto della considerazione che l’interscambio mondiale di vino e’ cresciuto vertiginosamente negli ultimi 20 anni. Sempre di piu’ viene consumato un vino non prodotto localmente, in altre parole. Due numeri: l’interscambio mondiale e’ passato da 43m/hl nel 1986-1990 a 75m/hl nel 2004, quindi una crescita pari a circa il 4% annuo, ben oltre l’andamento della produzione e dei consumi (entrambi stabile)
The work I am presenting today is about the world trade of wine, which grew significantly in the last 20 years. More and more, people drinks wine not produced in its own country. Two numbers: the world exchange of wine moved from 43m/hl in 1986-1990 to 75m/hl in 2004, showing a 4% annual growth, well above the trend of consumption and production (both flat over the 1988-2004 period).
